Juneteenth: Celebrating Freedom & forging the path forward to combat new & existing challenges to fundamental rights & freedoms

June 19th, 2025

Celebrating freedom & the end of one of history's worst periods.

Although slavery has ended, there are ever more dangers that persists at home and abroad. Such dangers include modern slavery, child labor and indentured servitude often facilitated through human trafficking.

At Climate Rights & Justice International  we understand that the climate crisis has become a triple multiplier for existing vulnerabilities, including poverty, indentured servitude, child labor, child soldier recruitment, female genital mutilation, gender based violence and early, forced and child marriages, often used as a guise for modern slavery and/or sexual exploitation. We will persist in our efforts to bring an end to these human rights violations which disproportionately affects the rights of women and girls.

We call upon all organizations to join us in these efforts because we are stronger together. We appeal to philanthropic organizations & grassroots funders to support us & charities like us to help us in our pursuit to end these human rights violations which impact the poor, the vulnerable & the marginalized.
