OUR MISSION

We conduct groundbreaking, interdisciplinary research and advocacy, producing high-quality data, demanding legal and human rights-based community and policy responses to the climate crisis. Our transformative organizing for systemic change, enhances knowledge sharing, capacity building, investigative research and evidenced based advocacy to strengthen grassroots movements. 

ABOUT OUR TEAM

We are a female led team bringing together expertise in co-designed hands-on community-led solutions to climate rights and climate justice advocacy and empowerment. Our team has extensive trans-disciplinary experience in law, medicine, research design, information and communications technology, business, communications and marketing skills through the Board of Directors, Advisory Board and staff and volunteer CRJI community to provide a pivotal foundation to achieving CRJI’s vision and mission.

Our Mission

Programmatic Priorities

1) Climate Education: Empowering & uplifting participants through an internationally accredited educational program which will provide a pathway for further educational advancement and/or career advancement.

 

2) Research, Investigate and Report on how the climate crisis is exacerbating existing human rights violations globally among vulnerable and marginalized communities including but not limited to indigenous communities, women, children, persons with disabilities & the rights of older persons.

Programmatic Priorities

3) The Climate Crisis & Public Health: We work to assess the impact the climate crisis is having on the right to health and/or the right to access healthcare;

4) Climate Refugees: We advocate for a legal pathway for climate refugees to seek asylum.

5) International Climate Justice: Working to provide access to climate justice to vulnerable and marginalized communities.
